Track API

Overview

The Track API provides parcel tracking and a tracking subscription service, both described in this section. The Track API is a standalone API that uses separate credentials from the rest of the Ecommerce APIs. To use the Track API, you must onboard, as described below.

The Track API’s operations, listed below, differ from Shipping API’s tracking operations in that the Track API provides a subscription service. The Track API also returns a different tracking payload than does Shipping API tracking, though both return the same data.

The Track API provides the Webhook Service that is used by both the Track API and the Shipping API.

Onboard with the Track API

To use the Track API, you must contact your Pitney Bowes implementation manager and ask for credentials. The Track API uses separate credentials from the rest of the Ecommerce APIs.
