Special Service Errors¶

If you receive an error that a special service

is unsupported or incompatible,
has an incorrect or missing value,
or requires a pre-requisite,

please see the Special Services section on the carrier page for your carrier to ensure that you are setting the special service correctly. For PMOD shipments, please see PMOD Options.

PB Expedited (USPS) shipments only:

You can use the Carrier Rules API to retrieve the requirements for using the special service. In the Carrier Rules response, locate the combination of service and parcel type you would like to use and then locate the special service.

The Carrier Rules define the following for a special service:

Compatible services.

Compatible parcel types.

Compatibility with other special services.
