Delivery to the Consolidation Center

Overview

To ship with CBDS through the Ecommerce APIs, a merchant must choose a delivery solution. The solution chosen determines how the merchant delivers parcels to the CBDS Consolidation Center. Each merchant has one delivery solution. Merchants choose a solution during onboarding. Each solution is available for the countries specified.

In each solution, the merchant issues the Create CBDS Shipment API to send parcel data to the Consolidation Center. Each solution returns an end-to-end tracking number for the parcel’s entire journey. Depending on the solution, the API also prints a label for delivery to the Consolidation Center.

Each solution has its own first-mile option. In some cases, the first-mile journey delivers the parcel to the Consolidation Center. In other cases, the first-mile journey delivers the parcel to a carrier hub.

The availability of each delivery solution depends on the outbound country, as indicated below.
